HYPERTECH Energy Labs comprise the main research and innovation arm of HYPERTECH SA. The recently founded unit focuses on designing and developing innovative techniques and solutions for automated analysis of consumer profiles, as well as, the development of intelligent and automated techniques for real-time balancing of supply and demand of electricity (power balance optimization), while overcoming critical factors that prevent widespread adoption and implementation of demand response strategies (Demand Response - DR).
HYPERTECH Energy Labs aim at providing flexible solutions for small and medium-sized electricity consumers and integrated solutions for electric utilities and service providers in the field of demand management (Aggregators).

Hypertech Energy Labs have been actively involved in EU Funded R&D programmes since their establishment, in 2010. Hypertech Energy Labs are currently involved as a main technology partner in the FP7 Projects Adapt4EE, INERTIA and BESOS, as well as in the Eco-Innovation Project ECOPROWINE and the national R&D project ECOBUILDING. Hypertech Energy Labs hold vast experience on various aspects of the DSM spectrum and the development of innovative tools both for the consumer, as well as, for the Utilities and Aggregators.

01/11/2017 H2020 - UtilitEE Grant HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: UtilitEE) focusing on the development of novel Energy-as-a-Service business models and associated tools for energy utilities. Hypertech Energy Labs will coordinate an international consortium of renowned academic and industrial partners, actively involving ETRA, Solintel and MyEnergia (Spain), Suite5 (Ireland), the University of Basel (Switzerland), VaasaETT (Finland), Mytilineos/Protergia (Greece), SOREA (France), TAURON (Poland) and Stadtwerke Trier (Germany).
01/10/2017 H2020 - HOLISDER Grant HYPERTECH Energy Labs have been awarded a new R&D contract from the European Commission (Project Acronym: HOLISDER) focusing on the development of novel solutions for the realization of highly effective demand response programmes in EU Energy Markets. Hypertech Energy Labs hold the role of the technical manager of the project and will coordinate the technical activities to be realized by an international consortium of renowned academic and industrial partners, led by the Tecnalia (Spain) and actively involving Honeywell (Czech Republic), TNO (Nehterlands), ETRA and Solintel (Spain), Koncar KET (Croatia), BELIT and BEOELEK (Serbia), ASM (Poland), Mytilineos/Protergia (Greece), KiWi Power (UK) and Caverion (Finland).
